Trip to Tanah Aina Fahad - Mar 18

Salam

This time, the holiday was absurd. Instead of going to high development site, we went to see natures. More interestingly, opah joined us for holiday. Sebabnya dia nak ikut balik ke Ipoh which we planned for Ipoh trip on Thursday. The trip to tanah Aina was on Sunday for 1 night.

Booking method - Cari kat trivago, when I did the booking. Only expedia has the booking entry for tanah aina.

Foods - Semua disediakan sebab tempat tu jauh ke dalam. Memang tak boleh nak keluar cari makanan. You wont regret, makanan mmg boleh terima tekak. Traditional malaysia foods.

Room type - We chose the high end, King tent sebabnya omaknya tak berani tinggal dalam tent. But apparently the tent is more cooling than the king tent. Rasanya atap king tent was made from zinc..tu sebab panas. But decoration in king tent is more luxurious.

Afterall, it was a unique holiday ; a wish from Nawfal for back to nature. Kononnya the experience will help him with his essay story yang banyak pasal natural surroundings...will see.

Trip to Krabi - Dec 20-24, 2018

Our trip to Krabi took number of pitstops.

Bertolak dari Seremban around 10am on Wednesday (Dec 20). Kitorang punyala confident that the traffic will be smooth and steady because it's weekdays but we were wrong. Number of bumper to bumber on PLUS highway to north. Issuenya sebab orang buat jalan je, but since semua orang dok pakat cuti jadila sesak sikit di situ.

Reached Changlun around 7.30pm, terus buat insurance kereta to Thailand. Kejap je. Tidur balik kat changlun chalet. Our fav chosen chalet in Changlun. Suka betul treehouse kat chalet tu.

On next day; by 9am kitorang dah gerak to Bukit Kayu Hitam border. Queue dlm kereta dalam 11.30 am dah masuk danok. Process nya simple.

1. Car queuing. Which at first I thought everyone has to queue inside the building.
2. At the counter, provide the car insurance + passports. When you got lucky, you need to pay MYR10 for duit kopi to the kastam.
3. You were asked to park the car, and the owner has to go to the immigration office (counter outside the building) to fill up another form and issue the copy received earlier. Just follow the instruction board.
3. When you're done, keep in mind to keep a copy of the print out to issue during the next check out day.

Danok - For Early Lunch
We had our early lunch at danok.. kedai gerai tepi jalan. Memang famous pun.

Hatyai - For Shopping Agenda
55 min driving to Hatyai. We stayed at Grand Florida hotel, sedikit scary sikit hotel ni. Old hotel, with deem lighting. Nevertheless, very spacious, 2 queen size bed with MYR 120 a night.
We did our shopping in Hatyai. Nak kata makanan, I prefer the Danok's food. Maybe ada fusion of Malaysia + Thailand. Kat Hatyai la kalau nak beli wacoal, and nice kids pyjamas, sandals and all sorts. Sebab tak expect the very nice shpping experience, we ended up shopping at proper mall so that we can used up the credit card. Mahal la compare the night market. So lesson learn -- bring loads of cash if you go Thailand.

Krabi - The Outdoor experience
The next day on Friday, baru bertolak ke Krabi. It took up approx 5 hours. We started our journey around 3pm , reaching Krabi around 8pm. Sebab kat Hatyai, kitorang visited the night market. Just to snap picture. Tapi kat sini pun banyak stall barang2. Souvenirs beli kat sini. If you ask whether it's worth the money, I'm not very sure. Tapi nak cakap beli kat Hatyai lagi convenient dpd beli kat Krabi. Sebab it's hard to park a car at Krabi along the beach area.

We spent 3 days 2 nights in Krabi. Serious tak cukup, you need to spend more days ok !! The weather was just nice, tak panas and tak hujan. Make sure you do island hoping. We chose the 4 island, with package of 20 people per boat. This is just nice. Not that small, and yet not that big. The smaller ones will get you dizzy, the big ones will make you like immigrants..too pack. The price around MYR60 for adult and MYR 20 for child. You wont get such price for Island hoping in Malaysia. Suggest to buy the ticket at Krabi town, and not through the hotel.

MY SUMMARY

Things to prepare before the trip
1. Passport (of course)
2. Original or copy of geran kereta (owner kena ada, kalau tak get the consent letter signed by the owner).
3. Purchase the car insurance to Thailand. Banyak tempat around changlun area. We purchased family package (4 kids) around MYR 75.
4. Local foods - kalau ada anak kecik, suggest to buy the finger foods kat Malaysia. Jumpa local roti cream mentega Haji Kamarudin kat kedai runcit Changlun. Berbaloi2 untuk anak lepas mandi laut.

During the journey
1. Make sure to prepare alatan solat such as mat; ini sebab surau tak la sebanyak Malaysia. Walaupun ada. Kali ni terbalik, you see a lot of temple sign (mcm angkorewat) , which I mistakenly thought it's a surau. Our experience, going to Krabi should be no issue. we found rnr which provide praying area for muslim. tapi bila balik tak banyak macam pergi.
2. We brought a santa bag full of toys for the small ones, just to fill in time during the journey.
3. You dont have to worry about Halal foods when you reach Krabi, you can even hear the azan in Krabi.

Others

Car Regulations - 90km/hour year. It's a nice sight seeing, don't need to rush. The kebun getah is so clean and well managed. Boleh buat photo shoot. So just sit back and enjoy!

Toilet - It's acceptable and I consider cleaner than Malaysia. It's a dry washroom, so kena inform anak jangan basah lantai sbb they do provide a tap to wash and even a kolah to cebuk. Menarik tau!

Foods - Tak yah citer la. Many blogs talk about foods. We tried almost all the recommended ones, tapi ikut selera masing2.

1. Pulut mangga : Danok is the best, tapi pantang ada mesti beli

2. Tomyam : Bangkok version is much nicer

3. Salted fish : Not in our favorite list

4. Pad Thai : Yummey !!

5. Pancake Nutelle : We missed this one !

6. Coconut Ice cream : Unique, Will try again 

7. Satay Ayam (Hatyai) : Rasa lebih kunyit, Malaysia punya lagi sedap kot.

8. Nasi Briyani (kuning) : Common dish, so-so kalau teringin nak pekena nasi.

Macam Macam Story

Jan 22 - MRSM result released. His application did not pass through. Ada hikmah untuk setiap kejadian. He felt release, not keen of going to boarding school. Lagi prefer untuk abah dia ambik jemput walaupun kena tunggu 2-3 jam kat sekolah.

Jan 29 - Early birthday present by hubby. A pandora bracelet, something that I wish for so long long ago.

Nawfal naik kelas but his attitude has not changed. More unfinished homework than before. So many homeworks, but unfinished. Tak kisah apa pun dia. Lagi keras kita, lagi keras dia.. Very different than his abang. Different approach to take on this time.

We bought new internet tv, just to avoid Nasuha addicted to phone. The consequence was that she could pick her "gediks" channel whenever she likes. Bukannya nak tengok educational program, but prefer to watch the unboxing toy videos.

Nayla is growing up fast. She collected the behaviors from all the siblings... Lagila advance wordings wordings yg not nice to hear. Protect her Ya Allah.

I moved to new office look. Tak boleh bawak kipas. How do I survive yea..

These all lifetime journey , I need to be strong to mould them for a better ummah.

UPSR - Is it really not a big deal ?

Nov 23, 2017 hari keramat untuk parents yang 1st time ada anak ambik UPSR. It was a usual day, hubby sent them to school ; Nafiz and Nawfal. Lepas tu kami hantar Nasuha ke sekolah we got to know Nasuha pun ada report card day on the same day. Hubby told teachers may not be attending sebab nak ambik result UPSR abang kat sekolah. After that, we went breakfast out; dengan Nayla sekali rasanya. Makan pun tawar je rasa. Balik rumah, solat dhuha, hajat baca surah yasin rasanya and then cari selawat tafrijiyyah. Itu la perasan seorang ibu. Always keep high standards for anything she does.

Hubby datang menjengah kat bilik suruh siap, omaknya tak sanggup lagi nak bertindak..nak baca lagi ayat apa2 yang boleh..siap imagine the slip result tu fading tukar huruf jadi "A" semua. Macam citer drama omputeh. Anything goes...hoping for miracles. Hubby dah sakat nak check kat phone. SMS the number, tapi tak dapat info..hish laki teman memang kaki kacau..potong steam. I said I dont want to know. And post result on social media, knowing him. Kalau result anak bagus, dia yg paling kuat mencanangkan kegembiraan. Tapi yang tungkus lumus nak bagi anak ni lepas kita la. Tapi itulah aturan Allah, gigih dia tempat lain which I'll tell you after this.

Around 10 am, pegi la ambik result Nasuha. Tengok result dia pun okla..tak zaman abg long dia. Kalau tak dapat 100% macam naik singa satu badan. Buat careless mistake dah macam criminal. Itula bezanya, dengan Nasuha kitorang (ME esp) cool je. No worries ..long way to go.

Lepas tu terus gerak ke sekolah, parents dah ramai tunggu . Masa jalan, bunyi phone suami, incoming message. Laki ku pandang phone, dengan tekak gulp pastu senyum. I dah agak dah, mesti dia dapat result UPSR tu. Dia senyum so ok la tu, but how ok is the ok...crazy makkk....

Bila sampai dewan masa tu speech CEO, he tell all the system peperiksaan and repeat his speech we listen at majlis graduasi, majlis penyampaian Nawfal , and this event again. Ok la I understood. Mana sempat nak buat version macam2.

Habis je, itula masa dinantikan.. Name called up by the angka giliran. One after another, bila sampai "M" nama Muhammad Nafiz tak dipanggil2. Husband dah bagi muka question mark? Me Ok je nama tak panggil because I can't imagine getting the result. Bila dah habis , cari guru HEM. Sib baik nama dia ada dalam paper yg dia pegang.

And treng teng teng, rupanya anak bertuah ni dapat good result. Suruh ke depan jumpa reporter. Gila kaw..dah dalam awangan suruh cakap impromptu. Memang tak jalan la Nafiz and mak dia. Dua2 kaki introvert. We dont express our opinions spontanouesly OK ! Merapu la kmi depan camera tu.

Well, anyway it was unusual feeling. Dalam sekolah tu 6 orang je dapat 6A, and he's the only one in the class. Although Nafiz ni memang la selalu dapat hadiah kat as sofa, but for me dia dapat sebab competition tak tinggi. You dont compete with other races and number of people is so small. What surprised us, he didn't pass his entering assessment to this school. Ingat lagi dapat msg tu masa tgh tea time kat rest haji tapah. Rasa luruh jantung anak tak lepas masuk sek. Nak hantar dia ke mana? Nak masuk sekolah biasa kena turun naik pejabat.

Masa ni la I learn lifetime values from my husband. He learned the values of parenting from of his parents. Parents dia tak pernah putus asa nak bagi anak dema belajar walaupun budak tu mmg tak lepas mana2 institusi tinggi. Cuba sedaya upaya masuk giat mara la, kadet school anything asalkan depa grab skills untuk masa depan. This is when I see my husband willing to do anything to get the best education for his kids. Dia cakap kita buat surat rayuan, pegi jumpa guru besar apa sahaja. And for me, I had to tebal my muka call cikgu sebelah rumah tanya mcm mana nak masuk sekolah kebangsaan. Dah la buat last minit, sebab kejar kerja kat office. Bila January, baru nak buat semua ni. Ingat lagi cikgu tu cakap, masa mesyuarat hari tu deme terima sorang budak SRI masuk S2A tapi dia dah buat awal2 lagi. So I got the point...

Which finally we passed through the hardship and now the victory.

"Mak ..apizz sekolah mana ?" That was a week after school open. Dia dah gelisah tak masuk kelas lagi. Masa ni rasa nak nangis tak sampai hati tengok anak sedih. 

Nawfal dah pakai baju sebab dia tahu dia dapat masuk , tunggu bagi tahu nama kelas sahaja.

And this is Nafiz. Once we know he was accepted, cepat2 pegi kedai cari baju sekolah. Nampak tak muka happiness, tadi muka gelabah.

So our head of cleaning department decided to go home for 2 weeks, after making a call home listening woofy woofy stories by the family. As a good employer, we listen and give the benefit of doubt. Cutilah beliau selama 2 minggu. Masa tu we all pun kena plan nak arrange sapa jaga anak, macam mana nak gi kerja etc. But this time it was a blessing with advancement of technology, facilities and the good people.


Syukur alhamdulillah dengan rezeki Allah, kami dah tambah barang rumah

Technology 

Air Fryer Philips : Senang nak masak benda simple sambil kita tumis kat dapur . Macam karipap frozen, nugget, sosej, roti bakar, sampaila ke ayam goreng

Magic Mop :Tak perlu perah guna tangan lagi. Walaupun kena improvise tapi lepas la hajat nak jalan atas lantai yg tak melekit

Steam iron Philips : Waaa yg ini dalam 10 min boleh siap baju sekolah anak. Yang lebih untung anak pun boleh buat sendiri. tak bahaya...tak pening nak pikir kena tekan berkali2..sekali swipe...harga pun kena swipe.

Facilities

 24hour express laundry : Bagusnya service ni, lagi lagi musim hujan. Baju htr dryer kat laundry pi pekena teh tarik. pastu dtg balik dah siap. Takpun berjam2 kat laundry sampai nak ambik anak sekolah baru singgah...ini nama nya tak patut..hihi

Good people

Anak dah pandai buat kerja rumah. On the way balik from office, dah call mommy dia bagitau dah masuk baju dlm washing machine, dah masak nasi dlm cooker, tunggu nak masak telur...waaa lepas la hajat yg penting2. Balik kena handle the aftermath je la.

So all in all, ada hikmah bibik balik kejap2. Kita pun nampak kesusahan dia so kita tolong tambah alat untuk senang kan dia. Sebab dia balik mesin basuh pun dah repair (eventhough she had told us zillion times), beli kettle (selama ni dia dok guna water dispenser nak masak air minum, dok cedok selalu - kami tak larat nak follow, magic mop pun sbb kami tak suka mop lecah2) .

In conclusion, dia happy kami pun happy running our own house. Sebab dia balik boleh la nak  kemas extra macam basuh peti ais, basuh kipas, kemas kain baju. Bukan apa kalau buat lebih lebih depan dia , nanti deme merajuk sbb ingatkan kita intervene their work. Tapi case nya, kekadang depa sempat buat kerja base je..nak buat extra2 ni mmg tak sempat. Kita lak kalau buat masa dia ada nak tunjuk perasaan tak puas hati sbb ada maid tapi kita yg kena buat..itulah lumrah alam. Jangan berkira sangat , so depa pun tak berkira dengan kita. Kalau tension gila babas, masak bilik kunci.. do not have interaction with them. I belajar semua ni lepas tukar ganti maid 6 kali, until i fed up. I think what important is fundamental needs je. I dont expect a perfect maganize-like home. I nak beli kettle pun berkira, so you expect rumah nak jadi castle..memang idak le kan.
